Josh decided he had gone through enough swapping with his sisters. "Sorry Bri, but I think I've gone though enough swapping for today."
"Pretty please?" She said, she got on her knees to beg.
"Not today, at least." Josh told her, starting to walk out.
"Fine. But don't expect your hair and clothes back tomorrow night if you still won't swap anything else!" She threatened.
This comment sort of caught his attention, but after thinking about it he realized that was more than 24 hours away. By then, she would want her hair or clothes back, and/or Josh would come around to another swap by then anyway.
Josh went down the stairs and couldn't really find anything to do. After a few minutes of hiding out from his younger sisters downstairs, he felt his phone buzz in his pocket. He saw that he received a text message from somebody:
"Hey Josh, I'm about to leave my house and I'll be on my way."- Jenn
The last few hours had made Josh forget that Jenn was coming over! He needed to avoid his sisters to avoid swapping anything else though, so he thought of a plan, and sent a text message to his friend:
"On second thought, may I come over to your place by a chance? Things are a bit hectic around here."
Within half a minute, Josh got his response and saving grace for the day:
"Sure, no problem! See you soon."
With that, Josh called to his mom that he was heading over to Jenn's house, but then he realized something. He couldn't let Jenn see him with his new hair and clothes! He was about to cancel the visit, but then he realized that when Courtney found out Josh made a swap with Bri, she asked him what it was, not knowing until he told her. He thought maybe she wouldn't notice like his sister, and he decided to risk it, considering he wanted to avoid his sister and had no other options. He went to grab his book bag just in case Jenn wanted to study, but when he picked it up, his bag was much lighter. But then it hit Josh, as he put down his black bag and picked up Bri's Minnie Mouse bag, which was the correct weight, and headed out.
When he got to Jenn's place after a 10 minute walk, he rang the doorbell and was answered by her mom, "Hey there Mrs. Marshall!" Josh greeted.
"Hello Josh, Jenn is upstairs." Josh realized she treated him the same as always and didn't acknowledge his new hair or clothes.
Josh headed up the stairs with his new book bag, and saw Jenn's sister Kira making her way down the stairs. "Oh hey Josh! I didn't know you were coming over, I didn't know why you weren't on PlayStation." She told him.
"Yeah your sister invited me over" He told her, noticing that she also treated him like normal.
When he got to his friend's room, he knocked which was answered with a quick "come in."
Josh opened the door and then walked in, placing his Minnie Mouse bag next to her bed and shut the door behind him. "Hey Jenn." He greeted.
"Hey, you don't sound very enthusiastic." She told him.
"It's my sisters, they've been bugging me ever since I got home." He told her.
"Tell me about it!" She said. "Kira's been complaining all afternoon because you weren't on PlayStation with her."
"I just wanted to get out of the house." Josh explained.
"Okay so, what do you want to do?" She asked.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
