Still in a depressing mood as such, Lewis made his way to the kitchen when he see’s his mother cooking up some breakfast for him. She loved his son so much, she didn’t hide to the fact that something’s wrong with him by looking at his face in a mood. When he sat at the table, his mother does the same and tries to make some comfort in the meantime.
“Hey there, honey! You’re looking upset today.” His mother says when she can tell by the expression of his son’s face in all.
“I am, it’s just that I can’t get myself taller, so that I don’t wanna be made fun of by everyone, even the teacher that treats me that way too.” Lewis replied whilst letting out a huge sigh and had his chin landed on his arms by the table.
“Oh I know how you’re feel son.” His mother says with that comfort sound, before continuing on saying. “It’s so hard to feel this way. In fact, I was the same when I was your age. That is until I had this feeling when I kinda wanted to cheat myself by marking a chart higher than I was. That’s when suddenly, I started to get taller and it got up the mark by standing by my back and grew 2 inches.
“Really?” Lewis was almost quite unsure what to think of it, but when he heard about her mother chart scenario when she was so young, it made him wonder if that seems to be true and asked even more if that mean anything for him as of today. “So do you think I could get taller, if I try the same way you did it?”
“It seems likely!” His mother replied, before he gives a run on Lewis’ head and says in encouragement. “Why don’t you try it now and see it that works on you?”
Lewis then nodded with a slight smile, before he would got up and headed back to his bedroom and takes a look at the height chart again. His height was marked at 4’3, and if his mother was right, he could easily mark it higher and hopefully this could work like he heard from his mother’s experience. It’s at least he can try and see what happens on himself by all accounts.
