Overwatch is a popular online multiplayer video game, featuring a roster of playable heroes and villains with a variety of abilities.
Overwatch takes place in a cybernetic future where the world was threatened by the terrorist organization, Talon, and the growing tensions between the humans and the robotic Omnics. To combat these threats, Overwatch was established with the intention of giving service to the civilians, ending any villainy across the world, and becoming heroes. Unfortunately, all that came to an end when the world's governments disbanded Overwatch, threatening to indict any heroes who step into the light.
In spite of all this, some of the former members of Overwatch resumed their heroics, secretly in uniform, or publicly as a do-gooder citizen. When the world saw itself immersed in constant combined threats of Talon and the rogue Omnics, the members of Overwatch were called back into action, inspiring new heroes to come out of the shadows and join the fight.
In this story route, we will be focusing on two certain boys that first appeared in the Overwatch cinematic trailer: Brian, and his younger brother, Timmy. In the cinematic trailer, the two brothers were visiting the Overwatch museum when they became witnesses to a fight between two of Overwatch's former members, Tracer and Winston, and two of Talon's heavy-hitting mercenaries, Reaper and Widowmaker over the claim of Doomfist's powerful gauntlet.
In the climax of this battle, Brian aided Overwatch's victory by knocking out Widowmaker with Doomfist's gauntlet, thus ensuring Talon's defeat as the final use of the gauntlet ultimately damaged and depowered it. While the Talon agents retreated and Winston pursued the villains, Tracer told the boys, "the world could always use more heroes" and returned the gauntlet back to its exhibit display. That speech and her salute inspired Brian that day, and an excited Timmy wouldn't stop talking about it for a few weeks.
Six months later, Brian and Timmy were out running errands at the shopping mall. Unfortunately, that was the day Talon decided to display their terror by striking the mall, using Omnics controlled by the hacker, Sombra and the loyal Talon soldiers to massacre the poor civilians caught in the line of fire, including Brian and Timmy's parents. At the end of that horrible bloodbath, the Talon agents were ordered by Talon's chief mad scientist, Moira to take any survivors they could and bring them so she would perform her experiments on them.
Brian and Timmy were caught trying to slip away from the mall, being the youngest survivors to be captured among a throng of other traumatized victims forced into aerial carrier at gunpoint. Hours later, the Talon air carrier arrived at their base of operations, located in a blizzardy mountain range. The Talon agents forced the boys to sit in a cramped cell while Moira observed her victims, accompanied by Widowmaker and Sombra. Almost immediately, Brian was recognized by Widowmaker and became the target of her wrath for denying her victory at the museum, but Moira stopped her and closely observed the boys' vitals. The brothers earned Moira's attention and intrigue.
Moira decided the boys would be perfect for her latest experiment. She stuck the boys into a large chamber where a radioactive veil passed through them, shrinking them down to tiny size, the size of a child's thumb. While Moira subjected the two young shrinkees to her experiments, Widowmaker subjected Brian to spiteful torture, and Sombra decided to use Timmy ar her own personal plaything, seeing how she was attracted to his cuteness and innocence. It was there that they discovered that the chamber's shrinking radiation granted the boys high physical durability and immunity to stomach acids. Upon this discovery, the brothers were subjected to even more torture and playing for two straight months.
The two months passed too slowly for the boys as they were at the mercy of the giant villainesses' whims. After the second month passed, salvation finally came for the traumatized shrunken boys when the female members of Overwatch took the Talon base by surprise, resulting in the rescue of three-quarters of the prisoners still alive. Tracer, who led the charge, found the tiny boys locked away in Moira’s office, caged in a solid energy cube. Tracer and her comrades freed them and she and the girls spent their aftermath comforting the grieving boys.
Not much later, it was decided by Overwatch that Tracer would adopt Brian and Timmy as her younger brothers and allowed them to stay with her and her partner at their apartment. In addition, the boys had to attend weekly psychiatric sessions with Mercy to help them with their psychological trauma from witnessing the massacre of their family and being imprisoned and tortured by Talon. Meanwhile, the oys would be educated by the brilliant minds of Mei, D.Va, and Efi Oladele (with whom Timmy falls in love with) to make up for the months of formal education lost in captivity.
A few months passed as Brian and Timmy became a part of Tracer's family and regularly attended Mercy's psychiatric sessions. Brian decided the only way for him to overcome his fear is to become brave and train to become a member of Overwatch. Through training from various female members, and with the help of Hammond the mechanical genius hamster, Brian is recruited into Overwatch as its youngest member to join. With the help of his new family and Timmy's undying support, Brian is determined to avenge his fallen parents and defeat the organization responsible.
There are three parts of the boys' lives that are being focused on: Their captivity in the Talon base, their lives living with Tracer and her partner, and Brian's training into Overwatch. The only question is, which of these three parts will you choose?
1.) The boys’ time as Talon’s youngest prisoners; their shrinkage and torture.
2.) The boys living with Tracer and her partner as their adopted little brothers.
3.) Brian training with the female Overwatch members to become their youngest and smallest recruit. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
