Ruby hit the button and then she woke up at home. She felt groggy but pulled herself out of bed and slowly woke up to remember why she was so excited. She was going to get a pokemon!
She quickly got ready and headed downstairs, it was barely dawn but she had to go a ways away.
"Morning Ruby." Yang said with a smile "You're excited."
"Of course I am!" Ruby said bouncing up and down "I finally get to go on a journey! Weren't you excited?"
Yang had already done her pokemon journey and at the end of it surprised everyone by deciding to become a pokemon professor.
She has all these powerful dragon type pokemon but decided to understand them rather than fight with them. She could have been a gym leader but decided to pass on that. Currently she was taking time off from school to accompany Ruby on her journey or at least the start of it. Ruby would complain about Yang being over protective but she could cook so...
"Yeah, it was a big day." Yang said looking out the window "Now, come on we got to go. I hear Vale has new Grimm type pokemon and I don't want to miss out on finding those."
Ruby was taking her journey in the Vale region so that it would be a new experiance. Really she just admired Champion Ozpin for being the youngest champion in recent memory. She also heard good things about his elite four, team JNPR. Jaune the Fairy master, Nora and her Electric types, Pyrrha and her steel type pokemon and Ren using fighting types. Not to mention she never seen a Grimm type pokemon before. They were new and kinda awkward. It was both super effective and weak to Dragon and Fairy type, not to mention very hard to train and much more aggressive than most pokemon. Ruby thought it would be a fun challange to learn how to use one.
Saying good bye to their dad Ruby and Yang went off on the blimp to Vale. It was a mostly easy flight but someone did throw up. If Ruby didn't know any better she would have thought that he looked like one of the elite four of the Vale region.
Later while they were waiting for Ruby to be called up to pick her pokemon Yang left her to get involved in a discussion about pokemon diets. It all went over Ruby's head and Yang needed to prove she knows what she's talking about because of 'the curse of being a pretty blond' as she put it. And that's when Ruby was knocked to the ground.
"Ow..." The silver eyed girl moaned before looking up.
"Watch were you're going!" a white haired girl with a shrill voice said from above her.
"Weiss please." A black haired girl with a bow and amber eyes told her "Sorry about that, here."
The bow girl helped Ruby to her feat. "Sorry." Ruby said shyly "I'm Ruby, nice to meet you. Are you here for pokemon too?"
Wiess just pouted and looked away.
"Hello Ruby, I'm Blake and this is Weiss." Blake said introducing herself proper "Don't mind her, she's just grumpy and no I'm not here for a pokemon. Weiss is though and she's nice enough to let me tag along for personal reasons."
"Cool! Are you going to do the gym challange as well?" Ruby asked
"No, I'm not interested in that." Weiss said "I'm going to partake in contest."
"Oh, making pretty explosions and stuff? That's cool!" Ruby said "My sister is writing a big paper on pokemon attacks actually."
Before they could continue their conversation, Ruby was called to get her pokemon so she bid her new friends goodbye and went to meet Prof. Goodwitch.
"Your choices are Bulbasaur, Totodile and Treeko." Goodwitch said. "Pick one."
