His childhood friend and soulmate

He smirks....then winces.

No no he couldn't just do 'that'. As much as part of him wants to, another part wants something more.

His smirk softens into a smile. Yeah that works.

Lindsay is deeply and completely in love with me. She is my girlfriend, soulmate and oldest and dearest childhood friend. We have known each other our entire lives. Have been best friends for as long as we can remember. At the start of highschool she confessed her romantic feelings for me and we have been dating ever since. She has never and will never find any other man but me attractive.

He admits the last part was more of his insecurity than anything. A 'just in case' clause, but as he dotted the last sentence...

She pulled away with an audible "Mwah!"

He laughed. It was nerves but she giggled right back not knowing.

"Happy to see me?"

She nodded and hugged him close. "Uh huh. I hadn't seen you in like, two hours. I wanted by Cody-shine."

He laughed a real laugh "I'm always happy to give that out." He remembered he was still holding the book "Did you want to do anything?"

"A walk on the beach with my best friend would be nice."

He nodded. Lindsay was his actual girlfriend and wanted to do actual couply things.

"Just give me a minute alright?"

"What are you doing?" She asked as he broke away.

"I just need to write a few things in here first."

"Is that like, a journal or something?"

"Or something." He said and started to write
