This choice: Professor Honeydew, from Charms. • Go Back...Chapter #6Not like she was using her brain that much anyway by: RoyalJelly As Melona's vision returned to normal, she saw Professor Honeydew's massive bust precede her into the row of shelves. To her embarrassment, Melona saw that the vapor-like form of her spell struck the professor directly in the tit instants before the rest of her emerged from behind the shelf. Honeydew whirled into the aisle, her face the very image of shock. Her eyes settled on Melona, and she gave a vacant smile and wave.
"Oh, hi Melmel," she said. She seemed almost drugged, as though she had taken a sleeping potion was half-unconscious. "I--I dunno what I was doing?"
"Professor Honeydew? Are you alright? The spell--"
"I dunno!" Honeydew gave an exaggerated shrug and let out a giggle. Melona winced, hoping that nobody would notice. Seeing the look on Melona's face, Honeydew bent forward, as though taking on a stealthier pose would help her be more quiet. Melona's eye was drawn towards her professor's mammoth bosom.
I wouldn't mind having those in my face, came a voice from within Melona. She knew that voice; it was the same one that tried to convince her to swipe food or take books from the library without checking them out. Her id, it seemed, was feeling a bit more ambitious right now.
"I dunno how I am," said Honeydew, walking forward. She swayed with each step, but managed not to stagger. "I dunno what I am." She paused. "I think--like, um, I think you're supposed to tell me?"
Melona's heart skipped a beat. This was what the paper was talking about. She could wreak havoc with this spell.
And have fun doing it, reminded the voice.
"I am?" asked Melona, begging fate to take this decision away from her. She knew what she could do. She knew what she should do. She knew what she wanted to do. She didn't trust herself to pick the right choice.
Fate, as it turned out, stuck to its original plan. "Yeeeeah," said Honeydew. "You gotta tell me what I am or--or like--um--I dunno what?"
Melona felt awful. Professor Honeydew was ditzy, certainly, but she wasn't this vacant. She needed to fix this immediately. Without thinking, she said-- indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
