"You're you!" said Melona. "Except um. You know that this was an accident and you aren't mad at me."
Honeydew paused. "Melmel," she said, evidently trying to clear the fog out of her brain. "I--oh dear," she said.
"Professor?"
"You found the spell? The personality-warping spell?"
"I guess," said Melona.
"Oh," said Honeydew, sighing. "Well, that's kind of a problem."
"Why?"
"Because it's like--" she paused. "It's really dangerous, Melmel. It's an incredibly powerful spell that anyone can cast. Even well, someone like you."
Melona felt her heart sink. Even after narrowly avoiding brainwashing, Honeydew just had to get a dig in. "I get it."
"It's not your fault, Mel," said Honeydew. "I get that it was an accident, and I'm really glad that you didn't do anything bad." She actually smiled. "I'm actually really surprised. Most people wouldn't be able to resist that urge. But I still can't just trust you with that spell." She reached out and plucked the paper from Melona's hand. "I don't really know what I should do." She paused. "I think what I'll do is--"
