Trotting down the hall, Katie looks at you with wide eyes and an evil smirk. This is not a person you wanted to be shrunken around… Every time you’ve met Katie in the past, she teased and taunted you to no end. To top it all off, Katie was convinced it was the funniest thing in the world to force you to smell her feet. April wouldn’t object, she would just join in gleefully, pinning you down for Katie, and giggling every time she saw her little brother smell her best friend’s feet. That was how every meeting with Katie had gone.
(Third-person switch)
“Are those doll clothes that you have on him?” Katie asked as they both entered her room and closed the door. April plopped onto the floor cross-legged, her eyes fixed on the helpless little boy in her hand that knew her as ‘big sister’. The smirk on her face grew to a smile.
“Yeah… I put those on him before I came over here. You wanna play dress up with him again? It’s funny how he wiggles around!” April’s words were mischievous and she had to giggle a bit. Daniel squirmed at the sound of her laughs – it was hard to take. He didn’t want to be played with, firstly because with Katie around, playing would lead to torment. Secondly, his sister could be pretty mean as well, and together they were too much for him, even at his normal size.
“Kristen will be home soon, so we’d better hurry!” Katie remarked. Daniel knew Kristen – she was Katie’s older sister. She was eighteen years old, had long curly brown hair, and was fair-skinned with a pretty face. Kristen had babysat the three of them from time to time, but obviously she didn’t mind watching the two older girls harass the younger child. She had just sat on the couch and watched while the girls had picked on and teased Daniel all day. At their worst, when the girls had ganged up and pinned Daniel down to torment him with their feet in his face, Kristen had just watched and laughed from the couch. And once, when he had seen a method of escape though the door that led to his room, Kristen had cried out laughingly to Katie that Daniel was going to get away, so the girls pounced him again and he was pinned. Katie and April had taken turns sticking their feet in his face for a long time after that, and Kristen just sat there and let them, giggling occasionally when he struggled get out from under them.
Obviously Katie thought that if Kristen found out about a teeny Daniel, she would stop them from playing-with/torturing him. Daniel himself questioned whether Kristen would do anything to stop them even if she did find out.
“Stop! Please! I don’t wanna play dress up!” Daniel yelled from his sister’s fist, but his voice was puny, and the girls just pretended to not hear his plea. The grin tightened on April’s cheeks, and the silky-shirt he was wearing was pulled violently off of him, as were the pants.
“Go get all your doll clothes! Hurry!” Daniel’s older sister exclaimed. Katie complied, and during the next thirty minutes he was subjected unwillingly to a series of clothing changes, each one of the girls taking turns in picking out his new outfits. He was handed back and forth between the girls so many times he lost count, but he never got used to it. When they finally decided they were, he rested in Katie’s open palms, wearing only his shrunken underwear and a silky pair of red doll-pants. April handed Katie a piece of gum, and took one herself. They both looked down at him, smacking the gum in their mouths over and over.
“What now?” April asked.
