The portal reopened at a strange mountain riddled with twisted rock formations and Armadillmon tumbled out while rolled in a ball. He landed and unfurled, taking in the sights.
"Ah reckon, if a weird event changed The Thing, then the same should happen here," he said aloud. He heard rumours that there was a high concentration of digital corruption that has been known to mutate and kill anyone who came within reach of the radioactive core's flares.
In fact, he happened to be above it. A hole in the ground revealed a chamber with a huge collection of yellow crystals, which exuded a strong aura. The visible waves of light told Armadillomon that a flare was on its way. He curled back into a ball and rolled down the hole. At that moment, the aura turned into a sort of laser-rope that lashed into four and wrapped around Armadillomon's compressed form. The ground began to shake, making the Digimon queasy and disoriented. He began to doubt coming here to gain a rock-like exterior. The flare then stopped, dropping Armadillomon in the crystals' chamber. He knew he was going to die, and blacked out.
