"I don't know, what do you think?"Isabelle asked Daniel.
"I don't know."
"Well, lets think, what do poets write about?"
"They write about," Daniel starting thinking. "They write about beauty, love, and...oh, I know. They write about things like the path not travelled, the road not taken, and stuff."
"That's it, so it means to take the path into the forest right, but its so dark and ominous."
"Don't worry, we'll be fine," Daniel reasured her taking her hand and leading her down the path.
After a few seconds Isabelle suddenly poked Daniel in the stomach.
"Ow what was that for?"
Isabelle burst out laughing. Daniel then poked her in the stomach which made her squeak and him snort though his laughter. Isabelle then pushed Daniel. They continued poking and pushing each other until the forest closed up behind them and they reached a clearing inside. Suddenly, a rough voice whispered to them from behind stopping them in their tracks, "Hello, little darlings."
They turned around so fast that they almost fell over. When they turned around, they saw a small old woman. "Who are you," they both stuttered.
"That is not important," she raised her hand to silence there coming interruptions. "I know who you are and there are somethings you need to know. First of all, on this quest you will find several friends who can help on this quest, and many of which can come to the aid of your kingdom and turn the tides of the war. But know this, it is a very dangerous journey you set out upon and many will try to stand in your way. You must be very careful, for the evil sorcorer Radigan will be looking for you and he will take you alive or dead. Be warned young ones."
Daniel and Isabelle just stood there dumbstruck when suddenly there was a sound beyond the clearing. They turned their heads in the direction of the noise, and when they looked back, the old woman was gone. The noise came again, closer this time.
What was it?
