Enter Damion: The Helping Hand

As the tree split in half, her scream rocked the very fabrics of the cave I was resting in, I poked my head outside and saw the girl sitting under the broken tree, shaking in fear of the thunder. Idiot.

"Hey! What are you doing out there! Get in here before you get struck by lightning!", I yelled at the girl.

As soon as she saw me, she rushed straight towards the cave and jumped inside with me.

"Ahh, thank you so much, I was so scared...", the girl said to me.

"That wasn't really the smartest decision but no problem, my name's Damion.", I told her.

"I'm Alice, it's nice to meet you.", she said back to me.

"So why in the world are you out here by yourself, Alice?"
"Well, I'm trying to get to my Aunt Mary's house, I mean, I tried asking someone before, but he told me he was going in a completely different direction..."
"I see....well, which direction is your Aunt's house in?"
"It's south."
"Alright, then I can take you there if you wish, would that be alright with you?"
"That would be greatly apprecieated! Thank you!"

A smile arose on her face, and we both left the cave together, we kept walking south until we hit a dirt road that split the forests in half, all of a sudden an 18-wheeler came roaring at us from one direction with it's lights blaring in our eyes.
